Where Traditional Craftsmanship Since 1850

OUR STORY

Since Mid 1800

At Raameen Home, A brand from M/s SM IMAM M IKRAM craftsmanship is not a trend — it is a legacy.

Our story traces back to 1885, during the British colonial era in India, when our family’s wood craftsmanship was formally recognized and awarded at the Khairabad Agricultural Fair. This prestigious certificate was bestowed for exceptional quality and artistry in handcrafted woodwork — a rare honor at a time when true handcraft defined excellence.

Roots in Royal & Colonial Recognition

,On Seeing the replica of the Taj, the Queen Observed “One Wonder of the world is in my hands that will adorn my country and my court” ‘. This is mentioned in book called ‘Wood Handicraft – A study of its origin and Development in Saharanpur’ by Mr O.C. Handa and Ms Madhu Jain. Event mentioned when Governer of Uttar Pradesh presented the ‘Replica of Taj Mahal’ to Queen Elizabeth prepared by our forefathers.

Historical records and documented accounts confirm that our lineage of artisans was trusted with highly refined work during the late 19th century. One such moment of pride was the commissioning of replica heritage woodwork for royal exhibitions, including pieces inspired by monumental architecture of the time.
These were not merely decorative objects — they were symbols of precision, patience, and mastery passed from one generation to the next.

.Six Generations of Master Craftsmanship

For over six generations, our artisans have preserved the traditional carving techniques, hand-tool methods, and deep understanding of hardwood that modern machines cannot replicate. Each generation added refinement — improving strength, finish, and detail — without sacrificing authenticity
